Job Description


For Blackburn Rovers Ladies FC

15 hours per week including matchdays plus any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties. This will include regular evening and weekend work.

Contractual status: Permanent


Job purpose:

To monitor and record sporting performances and liaise with coaches and athletes in the training and competition environments to improve their performance.

Duties and responsibilities:

 To work closely with the coaching staff to identify the strengths and weaknesses of opposition teams, our own team, and individual players.

 To provide and interpret statistics, as well as edit video footage

 to provide the coach, players and Head of Women & Girls Elite Football with relevant tactical, technical and physical information.

 To film, code, analyse, edit and arrange footage data in such a way that it can be effectively communicated to coaches and coaching staff;

 To complete required tasks within a short period of time in order for the information to be used for the next training session plan;

 Prepare and deliver video analysis sessions for the Ladies team including but not limited to training topic introductions, pre-match opposition analysis and post- match review sessions;

 Provide a varied delivery method to engage and encourage participation of all involved;

 Delegate tasks to student volunteers to help support their learning and to improve the level of analysis provided to the teams;

 Maintain the database of media created and ensure it is accessible for all the relevant parties;

 Produce materials as requested by management in support of team training or matches including video packages, presentations for team meetings and opposition analysis/research;

 Produce media content to help build the profile of the Ladies and Girls teams and to maintain an active social media presence through Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.



Skills required:

 A dynamic, confident communicator whilst able to adapt style and approach as and when required;

 Able to engage with businesses, coaches and players;

 Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are required along with a conscientious approach to all areas of work;

 Flexible approach to work with a proven commitment to teamwork.

Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures and protocols.

 Knowledge of player development within the female game.

 An understanding of multiple player links for enhancing player recruitment.

Qualifications required:

 Sport related degree or equivalent (essential);

 FA Safeguarding (essential);

 Proven track record of working within a performance analysis role (desirable); and

 UEFA B Coaching qualification (desirable)
